The Powerbox Group is certified by DNV according to ISO 9001:2000. Throughout the design and the manufacturing process, quality control and environmental concerns are under the continuous control of specialist Powerbox engineers.
Powerbox has been involved in the design of aviation power supplies for many years. Powerbox has built up a knowledge base both with regards to understanding customers, standards and certification of products within this market segment.
High quality and safety are significant for aviation power supplies There are many applications maybe not all are critical for handling of the aircraft it self. But for us all as passengers they are an important part of the overall experience when traveling.
Powerbox has gained an in depth knowledge around the general standard that regulates this area, RTCA 160/E. Airplane specific standards that Airbus and Boeing releases are also being implemented into the power supplies.
There are many parameters that are regulated in the different standards. Powerbox are familiar with all of them. Together with our customers we define which standards that needs to be incorporated into the power supply.
High demands on EMC, Harmonic distortion, audible noise and mechanical stress, imply an intelligent strategy for Thermal management, mechanical layout, material selection and filter design. Powerbox engineers have the experience to ensure that the power supply is designed to meet these requirements as well as the reliability and safety aspects relevant for aviation power.
All manufacturing takes place at one of several contract manufacturing partners. The development center and factory location are chosen through consideration of each product’s characteristics, to assure quality and a cost effective service for customers.
The company has the capacity to customize all logistics in order to meet our customer’s demands. This could cover all types of supply structures from traditional fixed order and delivery, to schedule agreements and vendor managed inventory services. Our regional service centers offer a wide selection of after-sales service, such as spare parts handling, repair and application support.
